Our prices are expressed in Canadian dollars and are subject to change without notice.
We also reserve the right to refuse any orders placed with Lea Cottage, specifically if the requested custom embroidery is offensive.
The product(s) you receive might vary slightly from the product picture due to the fact that every product(s) is 100% handmade.
Care Instructions accompany each order. Your product(s) can be damaged if those instructions are not followed and Lea Cottage is not responsible for products damaged in this way.
Every effort has been made to ensure that only the best quality materials are used to make your order. We want it to give you or the recipient years of pleasure.
All payments are completed by PayPal, a secure payment method. For your protection, we do not receive or store any payment information such as your credit card number.
Products are listed in Canadian dollars and PayPal provides up-to-date currency conversion from any currency. Please see www.xe.com for an idea of what your conversion rate could be.
Sometimes, on international orders, there are duties, taxes or fees may be due depending upon the country you live in. These are not assessed by Lea Cottage. Please check with your country’s customs regulations for more details.
Lea Cottage ships all orders by the shipping method specified when the order is placed. Regular and Expedited Post are processed through Canada Post which in turn hands off to the postal service of the destination country. Both Expedited Post and Courier shipping methods provide tracking information.
Lea Cottage is not responsible for duty or brokerage fees for international shipping. These charges are applied by your country as part of their importation policy.
SHIPPING COST CALCULATIONS
We do our best to apply fair shipping costs to each order.
SHIPPING COSTS ARE BILLED THROUGH A SEPARATE INVOICE, based on the weight, size, destination country and selected shipping method.
Canada Post expedited shipping does not necessarily guarantee faster processing Shipping costs and delivery schedules vary from country to country.
Lea Cottage is not responsible for shipping delays. Once the order is passed to Canada Post or the Courier company, it is simply out of our control.
Delays may occur due to COVID-19 reduced staffing and precautions.
We want your shopping experience at Lea Cottage to be enjoyable, and for that reason we are happy to honour any reasonable return request. When you receive your order, please inspect it carefully to ensure that all items meet your expectations. If you are not satisfied, please contact us within 15 days of receiving the order. We cannot accept returns after 15 days.

- It will be reviewed by Lea Cottage staff upon receipt.
- A Lea Cottage staff member will be in touch (usually via email).
- If eligible for a refund, you will be requested to return the products to be refunded. You will be responsible for packaging and shipping. We suggestion shipping through a provider that will give you a tracking number
- When we receive the product, we will let you know the refund amount no later than 7 business days after we receive the returned product. The refund will be processed (except for shipping) and directed to PayPal for reimbursement
NOTE: When ordering, please double check the particulars of your order before you check out to ensure that you will be satisfied with your order.
The following conditions may exclude refunding:
- Returns made without a Refund Request
- Returns not received by Lea Cottage
- The product has custom embroidery and is not defective or damaged
- The refund is requested more than 15 business days after you received the product.
- If the order was returned by Canada Post as undeliverable.
- Sale items
Each refund is determined on a case-by-case basis and is dependent upon the original order. Our aim is to be as fair and respectful as possible for all concerned parties.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If your refund request is approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
The following outlines conditions where refunds will not be applicable:
- Sale items
- Personalized and/or customized goods are exempt from being returned unless the product arrives defective.
- Returns that have not been initiated through the Refund Request page on our site.
Shipping of Returned Products
To return a product, you should mail your product to the address specified below.
You will be responsible for the shipping costs when returning an item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, will vary.
You should consider using a shipping service that provides a tracking number and purchasing shipping insurance. As is the practice at most retail outlets, it is our policy not to process a refund until the goods are received at our location.
Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at email@example.com.
Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and send your item to the following address.
